I am a busy mother living in London, balancing family life with the dynamic pace of the city. My love for cooking has been a lifelong journey. Growing up in the cultural city of Lucknow, I was surrounded by the rich aromas of traditional Lucknowi cuisine. My mother, aunts, and grandmother were my culinary inspirations, and I spent countless hours in the kitchen with them, learning their closely guarded recipes.

Family celebrations often featured dishes prepared by hired “khaansamas”, (Cook) whose mastery of spices and cooking techniques fascinated me. Through the years I was fortunate enough to live in various countries and it has helped in enriching my culinary experience with a diverse array of international cuisine.

In my kitchen, I began blending traditional Lucknowi recipes with ingredients and techniques from our travels,creating a fusion of flavours that delighted friends and family. Despite these innovations, The essence of Lucknowi cuisine is at the heart of my cooking, guided by the lessons I learned in my childhood kitchen and from my mother in law, especially in making kebabs.

Now, with Sana’s, I’m bringing the authentic taste of Lucknow to London, starting with our signature Shami Kebabs. Get ready to savour a piece of my heritage!
